Once Upon a Love Story
The Tale of Ashlynn and Austin
In a kingdom not so far away, in the year 2016, our story quietly began — though neither of us knew it yet. It all begins with a Fashionetta Cotillion in 2016. While this isn't where the story started for us, as our dates that evening were different people, this memory marked the invisible string that God was planting for our future down the line — a single golden thread, woven long before either of us could see where it led.
Two years passed, as they do in every good fairy tale, and in 2018, fate brought Ashlynn and Austin back together — this time, through the enchanted realm of Tinder. And while the timing wasn't aligned for their love story yet, it was, once again, another stepping stone positioned them for the future — a quiet nudge from destiny, patiently laying the path stone by stone.
A year went by, as the kingdom's seasons turned, and Ashlynn noticed Austin at the Edgewater Mall and attempted to "shoot her shot" to get him back. Alas, this attempt wasn't successful — but true to any good tale, they both had a quick laugh and pursued other people. No worries, dear reader, the story gets better.
And then — finally — the timing was right. Austin hearted Ashlynn's Facebook picture, and being ever so slightly petty (as any spirited heroine would be), she decided to Facebook message him and question his relationship status. To her surprise, the timing finally aligned — they were both single, and both, at last, interested in taking this seriously.
Fast forward to a summer evening fit for a storybook: they had a first date in July 2019 that would change their story for the best. Shortly after, on August 4, 2019, Austin officially asked Ashlynn to be his girlfriend, and the rest, as they say, was history.
Since that day, our hero and heroine have moved states together and have shared so many wonderful memories, chapter after chapter of a love written just for them. And now, the kingdom holds its breath for the happiest ending of all — for they cannot wait to tie the knot on December 12, 2026.
And they lived happily ever after.

Downtown Houston — drinks, small bites, and a chance to say hello before the day gets busy. Come as you are; no dress code.
Saturday, December 12
Reception | 2:30 PM
Location shared once RSVP’d — dinner, dancing, open bar, and a whole lot of red. Free parking on site. Plan on being with us until about 8 PM.
WHAT TO WEAR
Cocktail attire
One instruction, dress up, and lean into the palette if you'd like to.
YES, PLEASE
Cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, suits, and separates. Pops of red are welcome and encouraged, accented with champagne, green, and metallics.
December in Houston runs about 45–65°F after dark. Bring a wrap or a good coat for the walk out.
KINDLY SKIP
White, ivory, and cream — those belong to the bride.
Jeans, sneakers, and casual sundresses. Friday night is relaxed; Saturday is not.
